What is Squad?
Squad is a 1 hour training session per week. Squad swimmers have been coming to lessons to obtain a solid refined stroke. Squad builds on that stroke making students stronger swimmers using that correct technique attained during lessons.

We do 50m time trials on all strokes 3 times a year where students will strive to beat the time from their last time trial. Results of these time trials are put on the notice board and on our website. We also compete twice a year as a team against other swim schools. There are also 2-3 Intra Shawn’s Squad meets held at our pool where students represent their squad against the other Shawn’s Swim School squads.

Attendance at these meets are optional. Squad members will be given a Shawn’s Squad cap which should be worn at all squads and competitions. We also have specially designed Shawn’s Squad bathers available only to squad members. These are not compulsory. We also have Squad Team T-Shirts for $25 and Squad Team Hoodies for $40 which are available exclusively to Squad members only!

Prices

  • $24 per squad if not having lessons anymore
  • $22 per squad if still having lessons
  • (Half price fee for any missed squad)

- We require students to continue with their lessons for at least the first 10 weeks of attending squad.

- We encourage students to continue with their lessons for an even longer period if you can. Those who have achieved the best results are those who continue to swim twice a week.

- There is no squad during the school holidays
